As the title suggests, what are the best paid tools available for content promotion?

Don't know the "best" paid tool, but can give you some paid tool suggestions to check out if that helps:

• paid clicks on stumbleupon, twitter, reddit, and Facebook (depending on where you think your audience likes to hang out);
• Google retargeting;
• Outbrain;
• nrelate;
• LinkWithin; and
• Taboola.

Fraid not, but I did find this article from October 2013 helpful. (I have no relationship with the site owners. Just found the site when I was looking into options myself.) It compares the reach and benefits of different alternatives.

This article compares the costs, pros and cons of most of the options mentioned above. It's ws published just this month, so it it's current.

Lastly, someone on Moz asked in October last year " if anyone had experience or recommendations between either Taboola or Outbrain (or a better service I haven't heard of yet)". Here are the responses.
