      Hi All,

I'm having problems editing the title tags on individual pages on Squarespace. It seems the only way to do it is via the page title name. Here is an example: http://www.autismsees.com/research/. The page is called research, so it makes that the meta title. The problem is I want to keep research on the page and the Meta Title be: Autism Spectrum Research. I'v tried searching over the web, but no luck so far. Thanks for your help.

I did some research but it seems like Squarespace didn’t actually have their plugin directory which is quite weird. As they don’t have a plugin directory, similar to wordpress or open card or Joomla, they probably didn’t have their SEO plugin as well.

My advice would be to move to a platform where there are plugins and extensions available for every little thing so that you can freely use them and move on accordingly.

          I agree.

Squarespace is a great tool and EASY to use for those that are starting out. However, if you are truly looking to be a competitor in Search, IMO, you will need to stay away from these types of platforms as they tend to be problematic and not offer the flexibility needed to properly optimize the site.

As MoosaHemani said, use WordPress or similar. If your site will be eCommerce, just install Woo Commerce and call it a day. This will give you all the flexibility needed. 😃 Good Luck!

          • In our reports we get alt tag errors for our banner images. We are unable to add alt tags to the banner images as they live inside CSS. We can add a title tag on the div title for the banner. Does that help with SEO and accessibility?
