We are trying to update the Google Knowledge graph for one our clients.  We would like to have company founding date, CEO's name and founder name in the knowledge graph.  This information is already included in their wikipedia entry.

Where else can we make changes to update this knowledge graph?  Is their structured data option for founding dates, CEO/founder names?   Should we include this information in their Google+ profile?    We are using the publisher tag.   We are not sure how to update the freebase account.

        Hi

I wouldn't be surprised if it took some time before the knowledge graph is updated. Have you tried looking at http://www.blindfiveyearold.com/knowledge-graph-optimization?

Looking at http://schema.org/Organization it looks as if there is a couple of options for adding structured data about founding date and founder. Perhaps adding that  +  structured data about the CEO with attributes validating against http://schema.org/Person  on the companys website can do the trick?

        Best of luck!
        Anders

Unfortunately, it's a bit of a black box right now. The timing is unclear (it's usually not immediate for the information to go from Wikipedia to Freebase to Knowledge Graph), but a couple of notes:

          (1) If you can, make a direct edit to Freebase. I'm not sure how/when the Wikipedia to Freebase transfer happens.

          (2) Definitely get the information into another source, like Google+. Google seems to look for multiple sources, whenever possible.

Andrew Isidoro has some great posts on the subject (and he's one of the only people writing about it):
