New URLs for a new website. How does this affect to SEO-Google?

Hi all,

We are in the process of upgrading our website to make it better.
This old website shows some keywords in the URLs and they are not completely friendly URLs. So we now have the opportunity to change this by adding the correct keywords and making them completely friendly URLs.

Over the last year I've been working on SEO and now we are getting many more visits than before. So my concern is that with this change, even using redirection, is it possible I will lose all the work and positions in Google.

Any advice about this would be really appreciated.

If everything on page is staying the same with the exception and you setup your 301 redirects properly you should not lose any of your work or positions. Make sure you do the 301s properly, those are the most important thing. Also make sure you update your sitemap.
