Difference Between Authorship & Publishership?
-
I am working for a business and I would like my Google+ posts to show the business picture/information and not my own. Does this mean I would leave authorship blank and use a rel=publisher tag instead? Or is it bette rto do both?
I don't really know much about the subject so feel free to let the schooling begin!

Hello there,
publisher tag is for the brand, if a user searches a brand it can bring up the Google plus page for the term.
The author tag is the one where you get a neat photo, this is for who ever wrote the content for the page. This is normally the personal Google plus page you have, if your worried about privacy you can tweak settings so people can only see certain info.
If you don't want your personal image then you don't need to use the author tag, you can use both tags but as hopfully seen above they work differently.
TL:DR
Author - for the author /content creator of the page
Publisher - The Brand (Google plus) page
