Slideshare

I have a client that has a lot of high ranking content embeded as slideshare files. The google results come through as slideshare rankings. Should I strip the content out of slideshare and get it into the native site?
any information on the pros and cons of slideshare content would be appreciated.

If your Slide Share presentations are ranking well for your desired key phrases my idea is to create new content around the same topic for your website and include those slide shares in it. It is also a smart idea to look for websites that are already linking to that presentation and reach out to them to get a link on your website’s content.
This way you will have the chances to get ranked without losing the slideshare presentation’s rankings. Another reason why this idea is safe because extracting content from slide share and using it on the website is no guarantee that you will rank for those key phrases as quality of content is not the only factor that Google use to rank the document. There are several others like trust and DA which slide share must have higher than your website.
Hope this helps!

I don't know what slide share is, but if it is content on another site, then I would get it on your own site.

I would Agree with Moosa - Be careful because you may end up with it not ranking what so ever. People may be finding your slide shows through the site and not necessarily via rankings. I would recommend trying to get a link back to your site or even a link in the deck pointing to your site so even if a user finds it they can still get back to you and its not lost revenue (though you won't necessarily get a seo benefit unfortunately)
Remember Slideshare is an authoritative site if you strip[ it out can you compete ?
