Domain authority vs. anchor text in backlinks
-
Hi -
I launched a new blog ~3 months ago and I've managed to get some backlinks from Yahoo, Cnet, Huffington Post, Gimodo, etc. I created some compelling and unique content. However, all of the anchor text of all of the links is mywebsite.com or mywebsite. None of them are the actual keywords I want such as "this website is great for keyword blah and keyword blah"
My question is....could I get more "juice" from these links if they had more specific anchor text or is their high domain authority enough as far as google is concerned?

Relevancy and authority of the site and the very page that links back to you is much more important then the anchor of the link in present SEO process. But you need to remember that quality sources place no-follow tag on outbound link. So, check if the links are do-follow. Do-follow link from relevant page of trusted web site will help in any case not depending from the anchor text. Big concentration on making links with keywords as anchors can lead to getting Google penalty.

Thanks Andriy. They are all do-follow links. I will put less focus on trying to get links with keywords as anchors.
