Dynamic links & duplicate content
-
Hi there,
I am putting a proposal together for a client whose website has been optimised to include many dynamic links and so there are many pages with duplicate content: only the page title, h1 and URL is different.
My client thinks this isn't an issue.
What is the current consensus on this?
Many thanks in advance.

Dynamic links.... I think that this means that you have menus, recommended readings, suggested products that change multiple times per day or less. We have all of those features on our site with dynamic links that change hourly, sometimes several times per hour - on all of the article pages of the website. This has never been an issue after using the system for a couple of years.
Many pages with duplicate content - other than the Title H1 and URL is a huge issue. The site will probably receive a Panda problem for being low quality. The client needs kicked to do a better job.

Thanks for responding. I'm sorry, I should probably have said dymanic URLs.
I've since gained access to the site. There are custom taxonomies that have been created: one has over 7,400 terms, and all are creating a page with duplicate content save for the URL, page title and h1.
There is a master page that has links to the taxonomy parent (one big paragraph of links separated by commas) and then each subpages has links to each taxonomy child (another large paragraph).
Does this change your answer at all?

Does this change your answer at all?
Oh, YES!
dymanic URLs
If this was my site we would go to static URLs immediately and use rel=canonical.

Thank you for your help. These were my thoughts but it's always worth a second opinion to check!
