As a small video production company, we rely on word of mouth and good Internet placement to generate business. From first glance, what would cause potential customers/search engines to rank our site low?

A first glance - not an SEO audit - there is none consistency between the NAP of the homepage and the NAP in Google My Business. That is extremely important.

Also, there is room for improve the Page title of the homepage, to reinforce the service already mentioned in the Google My Business; a more direct and clear message to the crawlers and for the people looking for video editors.

I am not completely sure; by using the postal code in the page title, you might be limiting Google algorithms to show your website, only for searchers/customers in your vicinity, a quite narrow area.
