What are people calling proposals, pitches & presentations these days?
When someone requests a proposal from us (often for a website & digital strategy) we send 2 documents: A proposal, which is the nuts and bolts - and an accompanying presentation - which goes over our process in a more general manner: our approach to web design, our approach to SEO, digital marketing etc... basically our slick schtick...
What are the terms people use for this type of document or document combo - the proposal and the presentation?

Hi there
We use both presentations (which we call a "capabilities deck" to showcase our services / products / awesomeness) and then a proposal if our sales process / capabilities decks impress them enough to want a proposal.
One thing I like to do with capabilities decks is to limit the amount of text or visuals to keep conversations open and allow for more discussion about what issues the clients are facing, why they want our services, and what their business goals ultimately are. We have found that these discussions are important to have before sending over a proposal because a lot of times potential clients may request services that are not applicable or relevant to their actual needs, and it saves everyone a lot of headaches down the road. It also helps us understand better what we can / can't do, which we take into consideration when developing our proposals.
Hope this makes sense! Good luck!

The best ones I have seen are capabilities decks that tie an agency's core competency into what the business needs with the proposal at the end. It's hard enough to get the attention of a potential client, never mind rick losing it with multiple documents, decks, one sheets, proposals, whatever.
