How to find out what is the best time to post to your audience on Facebook
-
We have been using Facebook for some time for our business and are looking to schedule our posts. We want to schedule posts when they would have maximal reach to our audience.
How do we find this out? Can it be identified using Facebook Insights?
Instructions or guidance here as to how to do this would be most appreciated!

You could use a tool like Buffer which will help you to auto generate a schedule based on your post / page activity and engagement. Alternatively you could delve in to your data a bit more to see when followers are online. By understanding when the majority are online you can then try establish the greatest reach,

It really depends what metric you are using as a KPI. There have been tons of posts studying when maximum engagement occurs (most consider noon) and what day is best (Hubspot loves Saturday).
Depending upon your target demo, you need to diligently A/B test until you know you audience best. Then adjust accordingly.

It also depends on your sample size.
If you can trigger the law of big numbers, you can get accurate information from your analytics, but if you have a small following, I recommend just using common sense. If you have a smaller reach, the assumptions you make from your reports might lead you astray. Is your audience on Thursday at 6pm low because they'll always be low on Thursdays at 6 or because last Thursday there was a Sacramento Kings game and many of your fans were attending. This week the Kings game is Wednesday and you might have moved all your Thursday activities to Wednesday if you interpreted the information wrong.
