Which is the best tool for checking recent backlinks (i.e. last 2-3 months ) of competitors?

Hello Moz team,

I have checked open site explorer in that I can see only few links in - "Just Discovered" and in "Inbound link" section I am able to see lots of old links. Same way if I go for semrush & few other small tools like seoreviewtools.com, smallseotools.com, serpstat.com all showing me old links. Also I have search in google by looking into google search by competitors name with recent dates but from google I am getting only text link not anchor text links or clickable links. Google "Link" command also not working.

ahref tool I don't have paid login so no idea so they give recent backlink separately or not. Do anyone know about ahref tool?

Any other tool can you suggest?

Try Majestic as well. With all these tools you could try to setup some automated downloads every month or every couple of weeks to make sure that you can compare over time what URLs are new and which aren't.

Hello,

The tool I would use to find a competitors new back links would be ahrefs.com. You can plug in any domain and see new and lost links from different time periods. This is not only helpful for checking a competitors links, but it's great for tracking any links your site may have lost.
