Hi Edward,
I do not know a way of analyzing a niche just as is. But I do know how to analyze a keywords...Moz, ahrefs and semrush are all three good platforms that use information from their crawlers massive index. In my opinion, i'd correlate and try to use all three.
- Moz Keyword explorer
- Ahrefs Keyword Explorer
- SEMRush, just search a keyword and you'll get all their info.
You must be advised, that it is possible that for certain niche they have very few or even none information.
Also, the most information is show when having a pro membership.Best luck.

Hey Edward,
Whilst paid/free tools are great at drilling down further into what you're looking for, sometimes it's best to take it back to basics. Google has a search operator for 'related:' which you can use to find sites that search engines consider to be closely related to another site of your choosing. I would say to try and find a single site within your niche (preferably an industry leader) and put it into Google.
For example, searching for 'related:moz.com' in Google returns the following examples:
- seobook.com
- searchenginejournal.com
- seoroundtable.com
- searchengineguide.com
- searchengineland.com
- (+ another 44 results...)
Whilst it's not a swanky tool for establishing relationships between user bases and link metrics, it's (in my opinion) one of the best starting places for 'related' searches.
All the best,
Sean
