Overnight the domain authority dropped from 11 to 1 and the page authority dropped from 21 to 1 with out any changes being made to the website.

        Hi Ralph,

There are updates once or twice a month. Check them put here: Mozscape API Update

The reason for the drop, could be thousands. One of the main reasons is the backlinks, check whether your linkprofile has decreased or added any spammy links.

        Best luck.

        GR.

We are seeing this on one of our domains as well (DA went from 16 to 8 overnight). While at the same time another domain with very similar link profile shot up from 18 to 34. Hard to make sense of it at this point.

              Hi Ralph,

As Gaston mentioned, it's very, very possible—probably, even—this what you're seeing is a result of this month's somewhat smaller index (161 billion vs. 92 billion URLs). I'd really recommend this Rand post on PA/DA fluctuations, along with the ones Gaston has already mentioned.

A PA/DA of 1 almost always means we don't have information on the URL in question in the index. If the sites linking to you weren't indexed, then it's likely your site wasn't, either.

It's very likely that your site will be back in the index after the next update. 🙂
