How to redirect old domain to new domain.
-
We just recently signed up to Moz with hopes of fixing our Moz Ranking.
We have an old domain - http://at-net.net and a new domain - https://www.expertip.net
We have set up 301 (Permanent) redirects from all pages on the old site to the new, but aren't getting the ranking or aren't getting recognized from external links to the old sites. I've read the moz article on 'Link Juice' and followed those practices, but it doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have advice on doing this?
Thanks in advance,
Greg -
Be sure you follow all of the steps on https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6033049?hl=en
your "support.at-net.net" subdomain hasn't been redirected
You have an extra 301 redirect which doesn't help. Why aren't you using your root domain as site index?
http://at-net.net --> https://www.expertip.net/ --> https://www.expertip.net/en/computer-support-cloud-services-cybersecurity-solutions/

It comes in from a WordPress plugin for language integration. Discussing removal of this now to help us. Is multi-language bad practice for SEO? Also, thanks for your quick response.

if English is your default language, keep that at the root (which I already see you guys implemented- nice!) and use subfolders for the remaining languages. be sure to use hreflang markup to let crawlers know which pages are translated versions of which pages.
