        Hi Locksmith_in_London,

Since the Google Penguin Update, you should be really careful about the quality and relevancy of the linking page/domain to your website.  So as you say, if they are unhealthy, you should in fact try to remove them as they might harm. In addition to lowering your domain/page authority, it could earn you a Google Penalty, and you really don't want that.

In order to get quality links, you should:

        • Look for websites with higher authority than yours
        • In addition, these websites should be relevant to your website, or linking to your website from a high quality page that contains relevant content to your page/website. For example, local business reviewing bloggers, who talk about your business could give you a high quality link.
        • Make sure you don't link to your website using industry keywords as anchor links (or link text) as this is considered "Spammy". Always used your domain or your brand name.
        • Don't link to your website from web directories or forums, unless the forum is discussing your services.

I see that the best people to get you these kind of links are PR agencies (but not through press release distribution systems).

        I hope the above helps

        Issa

I'd simply create very unique and exciting content, link baits, things that locksmiths know, life hacks. I would then promote then and try to make people share them.

I would then get my PR team to use the links and the momentum they picked to get your website in the news, or blogs. I may even contact bloggers, invite them to visit my shop and to see how exciting and current my business is.

🙂 Not really a strategy, but that's just me entertaining the idea of being your marketing expert.

              Hi,

Linkbuilding is about the most awkward part of SEO, which is why it is so easy to get it wrong, which many do.

In order to create something that people are going to want to link to, you need to have linkable assets that are going to engage people. Imagine for a moment that you are contacting a blog owner who talks about home & DIY hints and tips. There is absolutley no point in just going in there with an e-mail and asking for a link - you need to engage with people - you can't just go in there unless there is a value-add for them.

One thing I would suggest, is looking at the speed of your site. I ran this quickly through Google Page Speed Insights, and it is very slow. This won't help your SEO efforts.

My honest suggestion is to first of all sort out your site speed and then get your local SEO in order. I would imagine that most people using you are going to be locked out and need to use their mobile to get to you? If this isn't in order, you could be wasting time and money on areas that won't help immediately.

Get reviews from the likes of Trustpilot and get yourself on to sites like Trust a Trader.

              I hope this helps.

              -Andy
