Changed all product titles, lost google schema markup in listings. Temporary?
-
We changed all of our product titles to be way shorter and less keyword stuffed last week. Short of dropping a few places in rank for most keywords (we assume temporarily) that all went fine. What we didn't expect was to loose all the schema data in our google listings from product pages.
Price, and review stars are missing. Has anyone seen this before?

Over the past few weeks Google has given lots of manual spam penalties for either bad schema code or violations of their guidelines for the use of Google schema. People who received manual penalties were notified by email if your site is connected to a Google account. If you received one you can find some information in your webmaster tools "messages" area. Other sites were hit by algo penalties and no notice was sent or posted in webmaster tools.
If you got a manual penalty you must submit a reconsideration request to get your review stars (or other SERP enhancements) back. If you had an algo penalty, simply fixing the code or getting back into compliance makes the SERP enhancements reappear for some sites within a few days.
You can check your code using Google's schema checker. For coding problems, this checker will usually give you enough information to fix it, if you review schema basics.

No messages from Google about it in my e-mail or on webmaster tools and SDT looks good, so I guess I will wait for a while
