      Hi.

I have a client who wants to run some Facebook Ads. Now they want to target usual demograhics but then interests as well.

Now creating the ad is fine. But how do I know which Interest or demographic is performing the best?

Say AD 1 is served to people with 1-2 Children and also 3-4 Children. Now a normal ad with those 2 selected will give me overall figures of clicks, conversions etc.. but how can I find out which of the demographic is performing the best?

Is this possible or do I need to create 1 ad for each interest? So I would have 2 ads now, 1 for 1-2 Children and 1 for 3-4 Children?

It must be easier than this to report this type of stuff or is it better creating the single ads and using url tagging to track each ad?

      Thanks

As far as I know, your targeting is by ad set, which you can create ads in, so I don't see a way to get that data without separate ads. In that case I highly recommend URL tagging for each one. It take a few extra steps, but to track it end to end its the best way to go.

          Thanks.

If I create 1 Post and Boost it, can I then send this out to different audiences all at the same time? Would that be the ad sets?

When I boost a post, it only allows me to choose one audience, so it looks like you'll have to create multiple ads and server them to different audiences. In my opinion this will give you the best data on the back end because you can track it better.

            Great questions, btw!
