I would also love to see this feature. I am more so interested in restricting access to certain individuals within my agency so that they can only see the clients they are working with. This would help reduce the email regarding accounts that do not pertain to them. (If there is another way to select what accounts you get emails for, that would work for me as well.)
-
My need is for seats restricted to specific campaigns. As is, this is of no value to us.
-
I assume you are looking to assign a seat to your client for their own campaign?
If so, the seats are not for that purpose really. It's for different members of your team, who can have their own accounts not just to access the campaigns (it would be possible by login in with the same login), but to write blogs, answer questions in their field of expertise etc and get credit recognition personally, rather than "transfer" credit to account owner.
-
Actually that's not true. If you read what Chris Young said above ("The functionality to limit seat access is one of the potential new features in the backlog"), they are planning to eventually add that specific functionality.
-
I'm always skeptical about "potential feature" phrase

Also, he does say "we are measuring success and collecting feedback and data", so I assume that limiting access was or is (at least for now) one of the reasons to create seats

-
One more question, Chris. Does this allow people with Seats on my account to access things like MozCon videos, or just campaign info? I realize that access to those videos comes with a MozCon ticket normally, but since they're available in my general account I would also think that team members with Seats on my account would also have access. Is that not the case?

That helps, thanks!

Chris, apologies if this has been asked but can I remove a seat from someone's use and assign it to a different person later? Would be applicable if someone leaves the business or first assigned person no longer needs access? Or, would it be better to just us a generic alias (webmaster@domain.com)?
Love this feature BTW!
