How do I use Moz Local to delete citations for an incorrect business location?
-
For some reason when you search our business name in a specific English county (or town within that country) one of the results in the local pack is the home address and phone number for a private individual who is nothing to do with us. He is now being bombarded with calls from people who need our services, which is less than ideal for both parties.
I have no idea how this happened, but by using the person's postcode and Moz Local I was able to find a list of citations which have his address and phone number listed with our business name, which I assume is causing Google to rank his house for our business in local search . I was wondering how can I use Moz Local to delete these citations so that Google stops providing this person's address when you search for our business.
Thanks for your help

Hi Alastair
Moz Local cannot be used to delete citations. Since the information only uses your business name and not the address or number. The person at the location might be the only one who can claim and request the listing service for removal or submit a close requests. I would recommend you reach out to the listing service directly as well to try and claim the listing for removal.
The only thing you can do is make sure your information is as consistent and accurate as possible so the true results appear above the incorrect ones. Claim listings with services we do not submit to so you can increase your presence to further push the bad one off until you can have the listing removed.
Hope this helps
