I am trying to figure it all out... Through insight on fb, you see the netlikes and then you see regular dips and increases. Are the netlikes all fb removing someone for being inactive? And when it dips or rises without the netlike it is done organically?

Net likes is simply = your new likes - unlikes.

So if you start the day with four new likes (+4) but one person leaves (-1), you are +3 net likes now.

If you start with 500 and the next day you end up with 505, you were +5 net likes. That could be (+5, -0) or (+10, -5.) as it's just a total of + vs -.

Some unlikes are Facebook deactivating accounts. Others are people leaving (generally after you post something that reminds them to unlike you.) You don't really know why people unlike, only that they did.

        Helps?

Matt, thank you for responding to me on this. My only question is that I noticed for example an increase in likes, but it is called "organic likes" and the netlike black line didn't go up along with the organic like.

Organic likes are ones you didn't pay for. If someone just naturally visits your site then likes your page, it's an organic like. All the likes you pay for are Paid likes. Organic + Paid are your total new likes. Subtract your unlikes and you have net likes leftover. So two types of + like ... (organic and paid.)

Thank you, I knew about the paid and organic likes I just didn't know where the netlikes fell in and how it was calculated to which you nicely showed me in private 🙂
