How to Build a Rank Tracker

It's been long since I had time to make a new post

In my Agency, we want to build a rank tracker as an offer in our site. I haven't seen an updated answer about this topic.

Is there any API from Moz or from any other source that can allow us to develop this? How do services like https://serps.com/tools/rank_checker work?

Serps.com offers a white label solution for agencies. Why not go that route?  There are quite a lot of hurdles to overcome in order to provide accurate search result tracking especially considering localization, personalization, and mobile results so that they setup a company specifically to address those things is indicative of how much work it takes. Thanks for answering. I know it's not easy but we do have prepared resources to overcome those technical difficulties. We just need someone to point us on the right direction.

We did take into consideration using Serps API but it's very expensive for the low volume that we'll handle. It would definitely be the easiest way. We just don't think we are going to see enough ROI to make it sustainable. It's more a cool-to-have initiative rather than a need-to-have.

If you need something smaller, cheaper and white label with localization - you can take a look at AWR Cloud or Authority Labs. Both provide API access at some price point, both of which are a lot lower than SERPs.com. While I haven't used an Authority Labs offering, beyond a trial, I have used AWR Cloud extensively years ago. It does what it says on the tin.

YMMV, and Moz Analytics has localization on the roadmap - at least last I knew. I've pretty much given up on rank tracking as it can lead one 'down the garden path'. But that's enough preaching out of me. ; ) Best of luck.

You're welcome, Guillermo. There are already a ton of things with white label, so I'm not really sure if it's something you'll want to support forever. I mean, you could be doing things that make money - rather than incurring maintenance costs with in-house solutions.

Though it would be a fun little exercise one could do for grins.

And as it would so happen, Moz Analytics does offer localization. I guess I missed that one... odd.

Thanks very much for sharing your sources. Right now, the cheapest solution I've found is Digital Point. However, we are still looking forward to develop our own tool. We found some PHP repositories that look very interesting
