Are there any alternatives to the Search Masters' redirect check tool?
-
Hi,
I've been using Search Masters' redirect check tool (http://www.searchmasters.co.nz/redirect-check/) to pinpoint any problems in duplicate content. However, I noticed today that the tool isn't necessarily as accurate as I thought.
Are there any alternatives to this tool that check for all common variations of usual duplicate content issues? I know that there are similar tools available, but none of them really function the same way as the Search Masters' tool.
Thanks for any help in advance.

It's basically an HTTP Header checking tool, of which there are several. Webconfs makes one found here: http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php. You can also use Google Webmaster Tools as it provides a check (and preference selection) of whether or not www or non-www is set to default. Cheers!

To go slightly left of field on this I like using Fiddler as it gives header responses and detail for all elements of a page.

Fiddler looks interesting. Have you tried using Moz's Crawl Test Tool @ https://moz.com/researchtools/crawl-test ? Also give Screaming Frog a try.
