Trackbacks on wordpress
-
If you've got a genuine blog mentioning your website is it wise to accept a trackback to the site. The site is wordpress?
-
Think as someone who reads your blog. Will the trackback add value to him? If the answer is yes, then yes, you should accept.

If its a genuine blog, then of course. Avinash Kaushik's blog, Occam's Razor, has posts more than 2 years old still accepting trackbacks to this day. Its always important to review the trackback site because lots of sites are spammy blogs and they'll be gone the next year and will only give you pain later when you find out you've got to remove the trackback manually because the site has turned to mashed potatoes. I always check to see the context in which the backlink is placed as well. If you're getting any anchor keywords or is it just a URL link?
WordPress dominates the web. You're not going to see trackbacks going away anytime soon.

Definitely. Trackbacks wont really be a problem unless it's just flat out spam.
