you have it hardcoded into your theme

        | <title></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td class="line-number"> </td> <td class="line-content">Get Started - Salt Lake City, UT |</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="line-number"> </td> <td class="line-content">Gutter Guard | Rain Gutter Guard | Gutter Cover | Gutter Protection | Clean Gutter<span class="html-tag"></title> |
        |   |

view your page source then look for the title and description whatever it is his being duplicated type control or command F depending on if you're using a Mac or PC and copy and paste in the title or title tags like I did above. I found five instances oddly enough.

So if your CMS which I'm not sure what CMS you're using but you do have the same content on the page more than once so it is either not getting picked up by whatever tool you're using to modify it or you have to go in by hand and modify it plus make sure it is in the header and that you do not have duplicate headers.

        I hope this helps,

        Thomas

I just noticed you also have two copies of Google analytics on your site this will cause problems one is in the header  and the second is below the footer

          • one in line 56
          • &
          • ** a  duplicate copy of it at line 458**

check out this information below to help show you where everything should go.

Thomas seems to have covered it from a technical standpoint, here's my two cents on Meta Descriptions:

They are pretty much pointless from an SEO ranking perspective. Yes, having keywords that correspond to a query will show up bold, but I prefer to think of a Meta Description's primary source is to influence click thru rate by conveying an enticing message to make users click.

We've done this on many older blog posts and seen CTR improve from 1% to 9% in a very short period of time!

                Hi Jason,

It depends on what CMS you're using.  If you're using WordPress, you can definitely use SEO Yoast or any other plugins to change the meta title and many other SEO required areas.  Please let us know what CMS you're using to further help.

Can you clarify your 2nd question?

                Thank you!
