Campaigns by Subdomain

Hi Moz community,

I'm trying to optimise an online store and I'm thinking of setting up separate campaigns for each of our categories e.g. games, clothing, music etc... If I set up these campaigns with URL's like: /music and /games, would Moz track only URLs within these subdomains?

Is this best practice?

Hello Paul, you can certainly set up individual subfolder campaigns for sites like www.example.com/music. Is this the format you are referring to? If so, yes, that will absolutely work well with Moz.

Great! Yep I've found that on the standard Pro account you can only track 3 competitors per campaign, hence our need to break out our categories into different campaigns. One issue I can foresee though is with our product URLs which look like this:

example.com/product/title/1234567

Therefore a product in the Games category wouldn't necessarily be tracked. Is this correct? Would adding a keyword that relates to this product to the Games campaign make a difference?
