Moz Local & Fourscare

Hi! I hope I didn't just mess myself up. I signed up for Moz Local, but I already had a foursquare account. I did authenticate it... but then I read that maybe I shouldn't have done this. Did I mess it up? If so, can I correct it?

Of the 7 partners in our network, Foursquare is the one that requires that you take an extra step, via the Moz Local dashboard, of authenticating the listing. You would do so by clicking the 'Foursquare Authentication' tab in the left navigation menu of the Moz Local dashboard and the following the steps from there. Is this what you did, or are you saying that you did something else? Please let me know!

That is what I did. It now says
You don’t have any listings that need Foursquare authorization.
You have 1 listings managed by 1 account.

Then that sounds like you did just the right thing and are good to go. Once you've authorized Foursquare, that enables us to push your data out to that platform. Sounds to me like you're right on track:)

So, just to make sure, will it merge with what I already had there? I was just concerned that it would make a duplicate listing.

If you entered the email address associated with your Foursquare account and then got the message that you no longer had any accounts needing authorization, then it sounds to me like you're good to go. However, if you have any doubts about this, please feel free to start a ticket in our Help Hub so that you can privately share your account details with our Help Team, just so we can double check for you.
