I am working on a client website that has a Services section. Each service could have its own page. The problem is that some of the sections only have a 3 sentence paragraph. I am not sure if this is enough content to be considered quality. I am of course going to recommend that they revisit their copy and expand on what they do, but the question remains. Is it better to have one lengthy page of services or individual services/page even though the content is light? I know it would benefit from multiple if there was substantial content, but that is not the case in this instance. Thank you!

I would say it would depend on if you are trying to rank for a variation of search terms on each page. If not then one page supported with the appropriate title and headline tags would be best. With this longer page you will have the ability to include an H1, H2, H3 and have the content to support these tags.

Thank you Djaconi. I guess the answer is to make them separate pages then. They definitely want to rank for each service. My only reservation was the lack of page content. One service isn't more important over the other so being able to set that hierarchy on the page wouldn't work in this scenario in terms of how the services are listed.

            thinkseo,

You might want to provide them with some ideas related to what they might say on the page. I find people really just need to get a sense of what to write. Or perhaps you can say you'll do it for a little extra $.

Here's one link on creating better services/about pages
