Change the date of the monthly report

I'm pretty sure we are not allowed to do it, but as I need this feature, asking you guys will worth a go!
I need to change the date of the monthly report, as my agency sends out the reports on the 1st of each month. I need to set up the monthly report by the last day of each month.
Can someone help in somehow?

Hi Pierpaolo

I wanted to do the same but don't think its possible since MOz accumulates all the data at the end of the month so is a full calendar months data. Then it populates/updates your project/campaign with the data, that's then used in the subsequently generated report.

I found i couldn't change the scheduled date the report actually generates, this occurs on the day of the month you actually set up the report, just a month later. However you can click the 'generate report' button at any time to generate the report manually. This is what i have been doing to create reports early in the month to send to clients.  I find that the project usually hasn't updated with the new data until a few days into the month, so i have just got my clients used to receiving their reports at the end of the first week of the month.

Dont take my word for it though, hopefully someone from help/support will confirm/clarify here

Hi Dan,

thanks for your help. To be honest, after millions of attempts, I figured out I can only set new reports at the 28th of each month - otherwise I have no idea how to do with February - to send out report by the end of each month.

But honestly, I think the biggest SeoMoz lack in this issue is they should have placed a kind of huge, incredible massive, warning to state:

"Guys you need to set up your monthly report on the actually day you need to withdraw it each month!"

However, I don't mind about the generated report, I'd like to see the updated data in the dashboard. Nothing else. If I click on generate report  I will get one with weekly data taken from the week ended on the 25th of September.

Eventually, I will get my clients used to receiving their reports at the end of the first week of the month, like yours, but first I'm an employee, so my bosses should be agreed with that and moreover, we are paying for a service. I think let us get data when and how we need won't be such big deal!

I absolutely agree with you Pierpaolo, in regard to all your above mentioned points

i have found the new set up/system to not really be ready, it has a few 'holes' such as those you mention

We have the same complaint about the system.  Hoping to hear that MOZ is planning to change this so that the custom monthly reports we set to run for us automatically will come in for the previous month on the first few days of the following month.  Only having the report run every month on the day you set it up on is bonkers.

With the system being the way it is currently I have set a reminder to reset all monthly reports to run this month once I see that September data is showing. Currently there is no other work around that I am aware of.
