Why are the new Moz pro reports generated as images rather than searchable PDFs

Dear Moz and Community

Why are the PDF reports generated in the new system made up of images rather than searchable text?

This has the following consequences:

1. Text is not selectable / copy ready
2. Text is not searchable
3. Text is not indexable
4. Images are rendered in low res making text fuzzy and images / graphs low quality

Quite surprising that this has been in place for several months now.

When can we expect a solution?

Our Custom Reports have actually always been PDFs. I'm sorry to hear that your reports have been fuzzy! Can you email help@moz.com with examples so we can take a look?

I'll definitely note your feedback for our Product Team. You might also want to consider throwing this into our Feature Request Forum. Our Product Team checks this forum regularly, and will chime in to let you know if your feedback is something we can bake in down the road! While I can't guarantee that we'll make these changes, I want you to know that your feedback has been sent up the river.

I do appreciate the reply.

However, a little more feedback, this is actually the second time we have reported the problem and both times Moz have not understood the issue.

PDFs are fine. No problem there. I prefer and expect PDF files.

The problem is that your system renders the content of these PDFs as images, rather than searchable, selectable text with images used only for graphs, logos, trimming etc. Is this clear?

This is actually a huge slip up as far as I’m concerned. A company that assists in search marketing efforts delivers reports, the content of which is not searchable or indexable. Do you see the disparity?

Please check the file I sent you last week. This report was exported from Moz yesterday. Export monthly reports from other Moz Analytics profiles. Let me know if you find any differences between the two.

If you still do not understand the issue, please let me know. I really want to see this issue resolved and am willing to help.

This is not a feature request, it is basic characteristic of a PDF report (present in the Pro reports) that is missing from the Analytics reports.

This is still a major drawback.

The reports look terrible and are not searchable.

Please fix this design flaw. The older method worked.
