      Hi
I am struggling with keyword dilution, and I don't understand what I need to do to change.I have read it but don't get it. This is the explanation - You want to target each keyword with a single page on your site, so modify the anchor text of this link so it is not an exact match. The only thing that I see is the title and the anchor text the same and the image alt also the same is that what the problem is here is the page I am trying to sort out for the keyword kiln dried logs.
      Thank you

Hi, I am not sure I understand what you are asking.

Are you saying that you believe you should have individual pages for each of the three words: kiln, dried and logs?

If that is the case then no, you should optimise for those three words together as a phrase "kiln dried logs" as that is what you can expect people to search for, not those words individually.

Is that is what you are asking? If not, please post back with more information.

        Peter

          Hi Peter
Thank you for your reply, sorry I didn't explain it to well, I am using the moz seo on page grader and one of the issues that came up was avoid keyword dilution, so I am assuming I have to many keywords on this page,  I understand having to optimise for the 3 words as a phrase.  The issue is Avoid linking internally to another page with the target keywords as the exact anchor text. I have looked at my links and cant see where the anchor text is the exact keywords being used for this page.
Hope this is a little clearer

          Teresa

I think its important to have multiple pages about the selected keywords. Not pages that are the same but to use the kiln dried logs example I would make pages like below.

Why hey our kiln dried logs work so well in wood burning stoves.

            Hardwood kiln dried logs

            softwood kiln dried logs

how we make our kiln dried logs

            sustainabley sourced logs

why are kiln dried logs better

I would link all these to your page that actually sells the logs and if you make sure that each article is specific to its title and they are all different yet relevant then they should help you keep on topic without dilution.
