Tool for testing SERPs in Cities other than the one currently located in.

I'm looking for a tool that will give a feel for local search results in a location I'm not currently in. Can this be accomplished with a proxy. Is there a tool out there or some easier way to accomplish this? Any guidance would be appreciated.

I think there are not tools that allows you to do it by City. However, you could use HMA (hidemyass) proxy + an incognito window once connected, access Google and do the search. However, like the tools, they probably don't have a proxy in all cities. Try researching the tools or the VPN provider like HMA to see if they include the cities that you need.

I saw this recommended yesterday- https://serps.com/ it looks as though you can change your results based on your location, I am about to trial it so happy to let you know how I go.

Hi Oren,
Are you aware that you can set your location to a different city while looking at Google's SERPs? I believe you have to be logged into a Google account to see this option. Look up your keyword in the main search results. Then, click the link titled 'search tools' located beneath the search box. A dropdown should appear, showing you the city google currently associates with you (e.g. boston, ma). By clicking on this, you can change the location and Google will then alter the SERPs to show you results for the new locale, including local results.
Remember, however, that no two users see identical results all of the time. The above tactic can give you some idea of what a user in a different city will see in the results, but personalization/localization mean that you may not see exactly what someone else sees.

Miriam,
I did not know that! Thank you. It seems the answer is within, rather than outside.
