Best way to use Google+ and Google Local for Multiple Locations

I am working with a client who has numerous locations. Should I be making numerous Google+ pages merged with Google Local for each location? Or, is it better to make one Google+ page for corporate and have Google Local for the rest of the locations?

Is there a way to have one corporate Google+ page that has the various Google Local pages linked to corporate?

It depends on your goal.

Whether it's a local business or local chain, you should always create a Google+ Local account if you want people to find you in the local listings.  I would suggest go with a Google+ account as the "Master Account", but keep Google+ Local accounts as your link to grabbing some of the local real estate.

An announcement I keep waiting to see is that it is now okay for multiple Google+ Local pages to be tied to a single Google+ page, but unless I've totally missed it, this type of merge is still only possible for single locations businesses. I just did some searches to be sure I haven't missed this, and I'm not coming up with anything - it should be big news when it happens. Right now, you are allowed a single Google+ Local page per location, but the ability to tie these all into a single Google+ page still appears to be up in the air. This has been the case for months now. For now, I'd hang tight and keep watching for updates.

Do you know if there is a way to have one Google+ Page (company headquarters) merged with several Google Local  (branches)? I'm trying to not have to manage several different social Google+ profiles for every location--just a primary.

Miriam - what you're looking for - multiple G+ local pages tied to a single G+ page - makes WAY too much sense. I'd love to be able to do this for a client, but like you were saying (last year) I don't know if this is possible yet. Does anyone have any update on this?
