Is this nofollow tag written wrong?
-
I'm doing a link audit and came across this nofollow tag:
[http://www.jampaper.com/Envelopes](<a class=)">www.jampaper.com/Envelopes
Does it matter that the nofollow tag is at the front? Shouldn't it after the URL?
-
Nope. Does not matter.
-
Yup - agree with Jesse - no functional difference.
Stylistically I always write my anchor tags with the URL first, then any attributes afterward. Just much easy to read and check when reviewing code. But browsers don't care.

The order of elements in any tags do not make a difference.
Also you can have rel=nofollow without and quotes and Google will still recognize it.
-
Nah, it doesn't matter. It's still the same as when you put it at the end.
