Importance of Google+ name?
-
Greetings Mozzers,
I'm working on some Google+ profiles currently and have one interesting case where I'd like some advice. The name of one of my clients' web addresses, company name, and Google+/Google Local verified local business names all reflect the same thing.
[Name] Surgical Associates
However, on Google+ it looks like it has a limited number of characters so it reads:
[Name] Surgical Ass...
How important is it to keep the name identical to everything else on the web? Could I get away with just changing the name on Google+ to [Name] Surgical
I appreciate in advice on this matter and what would occur if I changed it here. Thanks.

Not all that important, as in your case saving Face

UPDATE - Identical name across is nice for creating alerts for things such as reputation management or for others to quickly find multiple social networks profiles with your brand name. But as long as you link these social profiles such as G+ google will honor that connection and see the link between your brand and profile

Haha, which is what I was thinking
thanks for your response Vadim. -
I agree with Vadim - as much as we go on and on about a perfect NAP in local, I think in this case, it should be just fine.
Unless you want to keep it that way in the hopes that someone will notice, tweet about it, and drive a ton of amusing social traffic to your client's site.

Either way it is going to end up being a huge pain in the butt.
How come no one else jumped on that?

I didn't want to be too cheeky.
-
I was wondering if the client did plastic surgery.

Haha, love it
