Hi  I am looking to no of anyway there is at helping to reduce duplicate content on a website with out breaking link and affecting Google rankings.

The SEOMOZ PRO tools can actually do that for you. They crawl your site looking for duplicate content (and other problems) and then give you a handy report.

You can also setup Google Webmaster Tools as they give you a report as well to show duplicate titles and metatags.  We use both GWT and SEOMoz in addition to other spider software.
