Posting on Private Forums?

I've registered a forum and they have private and general sections. I was wondering my posts on private forums with a link gives any value to my website? Does Google accept links from those websites?

Hi Sida,

If the private pages require a log in to view the posts, the bots can't get in to read the page, so they wouldn't see your link there. If you can view the posts but not reply, then they can read the links. Hope this helps.
