What time to expect until onpage change is reflected in google ranking?
-
Most pages on our site are crawled by google about once per week.
We plan to implement a new navigation structure with much more interlinks among our pages. I would like to test it first just for a few pages to measure impact. How long may it take approximately until an onpage change related to link structure is reflected in google rankings?
Any experience?

It varies greatly. If your site is crawled once a week, expect changes most likely after. Any new pages make take longer (make sure you submit any new pages to be included in your sitemap).

You can also ping Google in webmaster tools. Once it is live, send a few urls via Health >Fetch as Google

Stephen, Kevin, thanks a lot for your comments.
So basically change in ranking should be happening mostly immediately after google crawl without any further delay?

No, pinging Google will just give them an idea that your pages have changed. That is completely different to changing ranking. I would monitor for shifts over the next month
