Confirming unnatural link removed

My SEO firm confirmed on 4/5 that they've removed links from a site www.fantake.com.  However, as of today, it still shows on GWM there are 1100 links coming from that site.

Questions:

1. where can I find out bad links from root domain listed on GWM?  There are some domains showing they have hundreds of links to our site.

2. Between the lag time of GWM crawling, is there a tool that  I can use and verify if a link is indded removed?

If you have a list of the linking pages from which your SEO firm requested removal (and you should) you can use ScreamingFrog to crawl that list, with a custom filter set to look for your URL. It'll spit back a list of pages that still have your links on them.
