Interlinking-Canibalization?
-
I have a page http://villasdiani/diani-beach with which I am trying desperately rank for keyword Diani beach. Seomoz report showed me some hints regarding cannibalization where is it pointing out that I am linking to restaurants in Diani beach: http://villasdiani.com/category/restaurants-and-nightclubs-diani-beach/ etc...Would be the best Seo practice if I rather place the links to categories with restaurants, activities in Diani beach to side bar?

It looks like you've set up your http://villasdiani.com/diani-beach/ page correctly now. What page is currently ranking in the search engines now for a "diani beach" search?
I notice when doing a "site:" search in google this page shows up as a 404 page http://villasdiani.com/category/diani-beach/ ... is that recent?
If you want to rank for 'diani beach', you will probably need much more backlinks from other websites to your beach landing page.
How many years have you been trying to optimize that page?

Thank you very much for your answer Scott. Yes, I have reset the page and placed links to categories on side bar.
Yes, I have removed this category recently(few days): http://villasdiani.com/category/diani-beach/ I thought that as it has the same slug as the page and it is not good. I was not really sure what to do so I just deleted it:-( Should I redirect the category to Diani beach page? How can I do it?
I am desperately trying around 2 years to rank for Diani beach, I have been once on second page. In that time I lost link from www.sunsetdianivilla.com which was our previous website and had a link from www.dianibeach.com I do not know if this was really the cause or it is just too much word "beach" or what is the problem:-(

If you are familiar with .htaccess files, you can add a 301 redirect from the old page to the new page.
Otherwise, I recommend you install the Redirection WordPress plugin instead: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/
Regarding the link from sunsetdianivilla.com, that's too bad the domain name expired
