Different IP's in one Server
-
Hi,
I just want to ask if there is no bad effect in SEO if we do have different websites that has different IP address but has shared in only 1 server?
Thank you

No, there's no problem with such a setup, Matthew. This is a very common arrangement used on many, many systems around the world, from large shared-hosting providers to companies that run their own server but have multiple sites each using their own IP addresses for SSL certificates etc.

I agree with Paul,
To elaborate a little more, the problem is is that web hosts, most of the bottom of the barrel ones, share many, many websites on the same IP, thousands I'd expect. The thing is, most websites on these shared hosts aren't overly concerned with SEO, and many of them are spam, and if one of the 1000s of sites on the same IP get's banned, then your site could be potentially harmed from a SERP perspective.
Hope this clears things up a little bit more

Hey Matthew - it's been a while since you posted your question. Did you get the answers you needed or can you give us further clarification of what you're still needing help with?
If you did get the answers you needed, could you mark as "Good Answer" whichever answers you found most helpful and mark the overall question as answered? This will help other users who may come across the question in the future.
Thanks!
Paul
