As per my experience there is no disadvantages of using 1 or 2 hyphen in Keyword Rich Domain Name.

Hi there Danny,

i have multiple domain names with hypens in them and the all rank pretty good actually. Most of them have only 1 or 2 hyphens in them but one in particular uses 3 hyphens and still it ourranks all. Yes Google is changing the algo to adjust for this but if you set up your site like i have back in 2007 with hyphens i would rather take my chances with this domain than transferring it to a new domain. Are there any disadvantages, yes offcourse there are.

What is easier to remember: vacuumcleaner.com or vacuum-cleaner.com or even worse for that matter: cheap-vacuum-cleaners-online-for-a-discount.com

People will not remember that. How did i resolve this? Simple, my domainname is my brandname with hyphens. So people will remember. As long as you have good content, good link profiles, good press around your site any disadvantage can be solved.
