Should you avoid links from infographic sites?
-
Suppose you have an interesting infographic that you are promoting. Should you be cautious about having it published on sites that only publish infographics? Do you think these sites pass any link value?

Having your content syndicated or added on other sites can do no harm as long as those sites are good quality ones. The link value really depends on how those sites handle outbound links (if they use no follow tag or not for external links) . Aside from the link value, you could always benefit from the additional traffic those sites can potentially send your way. More info here

If it goes viral it will appear on those sites anyway. So no beef from Google. Be careful about paying for distribution on these sites.

The infographic directories are fine and whilst it is not a link that is going to set the world on fire the increased exposure may see your infographic picked up a little more extensively and subsequently you get more links which is the idea after all.
We don't need to be histerical about links - you have an infographic, these are infographic sites. If the site is low quality, has lots of adverts or something else about it stinks, then don't submit it there but as is mentioned below, you are creating something you want people to link to so low quality sites may pick it up anyway.
