In an effort to clean up my blog content I noticed that I have a lot of posts getting tagged for duplicate content.

      It looks like ...

      http://carwoo.com/blog/october-sales-robust-stateside-european-outlook-poor-for-ford/954bf0df0a0d02b700a06816f2276fa5/

Any thoughts on how and why this would be happening?

It looks like it's your images or something like that generating that link within Wordpress. Looks like image attachments to me.

Right below the first paragraph on your page (Right after This continues the healthy growth seen in September, and for most of this year.), you'd notice a Grey box. That's a missing image linking to the page you are talking about.

The code on your page says:

        <a href="[http://carwoo.com/blog/october-sales-robust-stateside-european-outlook-poor-for-ford/954bf0df0a0d02b700a06816f2276fa5/](view-source:http://carwoo.com/blog/october-sales-robust-stateside-european-outlook-poor-for-ford/954bf0df0a0d02b700a06816f2276fa5/)" rel="<a class="attribute-value">attachment wp-att-7997</a>"><img class="<a class="attribute-value">alignnone size-medium wp-image-7997</a>" title="<a class="attribute-value">954bf0df0a0d02b700a06816f2276fa5</a>" src="[http://carwoo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/954bf0df0a0d02b700a06816f2276fa5-420x264.jpg](view-source:http://carwoo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/954bf0df0a0d02b700a06816f2276fa5-420x264.jpg)" alt="" width="<a class="attribute-value">420</a>" height="<a class="attribute-value">264</a>" />a><br />

          Thanks for the response.

So why is the linked image creating a duplicate content url?  How do I fix this?

            • I'm struggling to understand (and fix) why I'm getting a 404 error. The URL includes this "%5Bnull%20id=43484%5D" but I cannot find that anywhere in the referring URL. Does anyone know why please? Thanks
