      Hello all,

I would like to use the Google Adwords Keywords search tool, in order to start working in the structure of my website and targeting the right keywords. I am targeting all the world, all languages, global monthly searaches but:

      1. I have the doubt which filte I should use: broad?, exact? or phrase?I am using "braod" but I do not know if I should use exact instead for keyword selection.

      2. Would you recommend me any other tool instead of Google Adwords Keywords Search for keyword analysis?

      Thank you very much

      Antonio

From what I understand, Exact match is for determining a keywords worth for the short term traffic for a keyword. Broad match gives an estimation of what is achievable over a longer period of time.

This video from Market Samurai explains this:

I haven't tried Market Samurai yet. I currently just use Adwords keyword tool, then check Keyword difficulty in SEOMoz, but I'd like to streamline my process if possible, so I'll be interested to see what other people recommend.

Focus on what's best for your customer. Make your title tags readable and don't keyword stuff because that will confuse people when they read your titles.

I use exact match but I try to combine it with other exact match to create something readable or optimize for two keywords at once.

[car shipping] + [instant auto quote] = Car Shipping | Get an Instant Auto Quote for any 2 zip codes.

          Try something like that.

I use broad to get a feel for the type of keywords out there but when it comes to actually selecting keyword targets I use 'phrase' for keyword phrases and 'exact' for singular keywords.

I also cross reference my keyword choices with another keyword research tool (depending on which country changes the tool I use). This might be a useful thing for you to do given that you target the whole world. I'm in New Zealand and at times find the Google Keyword Tool doesn't give specific enough information for monthly search volumes.
