My website is having around 170 K webpages and every web page is meant for individual keyword. e.g. keyword for every page is height of a movie star.

What should be my link building strategy

      1. Should I link other sites to index page of my website (if yes then what should be the anchor text) ?

      2. Should I link other websites to individual web pages of my website.

If you are starting out, I would use brand anchor text to my homepage and build up domain authority first

I would not use exact match anchor text tod epe pages in my site from spammy domains (anything less than PR2, DA less than 30 or having less than 100 unique domains linking to it)

I had a similar ish issue with an ecommerce store of my own. It has 90,000 products on and I was spending far too long targeting individual product names. It proved to be a false economy to me; while it was good to rank no1 for the actual product name, the number of people who search Google for exact product names was tiny. As A result I have now dropped this approach and I'm targeting more generic keywords such as 'black dress' 'red tights'

Try and target a few dozen broader keywords which bring in many more searches. If you build up your domain authority enough then the individual pages will rank of their own accord (depending on your site quality and the competition, of course)

Hi, I would first look at your internal link structure of the website to make sure you have the best appropriate pages linking to specific keywords. You would want to target the most competitive terms via this.

Once this is complete I would then move onto high quality link building for the website as said above I would then focus on utilizing varied anchor text and brand terms.
