I just watched the video from Barry Schwartz talking about the new Update to come with the Google Algo.

Video of his Friday Post: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJqSPT2NXdA

I have also started reading on Webmasterworld on this topic:

What do you think Google has in the list of changes?

Seems to me as though they are really going to be pushing content and all those of us who have been chasing links will see them becoming less needed and having less influence.

However, it does seem as though it will be a backward step if suddenly people start creating content that is a load of rubbish.

Sounds like they want to reward the best quality content even if it's not he most optimized content.. It sounds like this will supposedly target sites that don't have great content but do a lot of SEO.

It seems the real emphasis is on quality content, though. Perhaps that's not completely new as that's always Google's mantra of sorts, but the comments from Matt Cutts seem to indicate that having thin content but great SEO isn't something Google wants to reward

Sounds almost like they'll take all current SEO factors and wipe them - focusing almost purely on links. Eg title tags no longer important.
