Guest Blogging as an Agency
-
Hi,
I have the following problem regarding guest blogging.
When sending out the pitch one can utilise the client's email so it appears coming from the business/client itself rather than an SEO agency.
However the problem that I am facing is what author bio to use.
Is it good to sign the posts as the internal SEO agency copywriters, as the client or I have found some suggesting to create a fake persona.
If the client or client staff as the author bio is not a solution what is the best way?
I hope my question is not confusing but this would really help me out.
Thanks in advance
Kind Regards,
Conrad

Myself, I usually create another email address that doesn't mention the client nor the agency. From there I send my pitch for the link saying I represent a client that is in the X business and would like to link through high quality content on the target site.
From that respect, if you are putting in an Author Bio you could use a premade bio or your own bio that again doesn't have to mention client or agency.

What the goal here? Are you guest blogging just to get the link, or is the guest article also being used to promote the domain knowledge/authority of the business ("Thought leadership" is one phrase that gets thrown around!), attract prospects or possible employees etc?
Depending on what the goals are, you might want to establish a real contact in the business so that they can respond/handle enquiries.

The goal is to create content and links...
Getting thougth leadership in the subject without having a face/person is a bit challenging. In fact that is my issue of not being able to show a person behind an article. Making options for bio difficult.
