Bing and Yahoo Dropped all Result Overnight!

I want to suggest you use the new Bing Webmaster tools like SEO analyzer and markup validator and check the error counts Bing is reporting as well. Please share if you see anything amiss.

I'm very bothered by the parameter handling on the site with your paginated pages showing up in the top of search results. Do you know how to manage your parameters?

Why does your home page have this canonical tag with a slash at the end of the url?

Hello irvin,

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I thought slash wouldn't be any problem as I seen some major website doing so. But if that is the case I will ask my programmer to remove that tonight.

Also yes we know how to fix the paginate issue, we already set some places to no follow tag and also going to add next prev tag attribute soon.

Finally I keep submitting my sitemap to bing webmaster tool and as soon as i submit it says no sitemap submitted, so probably bing having issue with their sitemap. also I don;t see much error in bing webmaster except the low priority pagination attribute.

Any other idea? what could be the reason?

No follow isn't going to help anything (and possibly makes things worse) and I suggest you don't utilize it. The rel tags are the best option if there is value in your pagination pages being crawled. Also, make sure you declare the page number in the title and meta tag for the paginated pages. If the paginated pages are just various sort options, I would block the parameters in webmaster tools and use canonical tags to the first page.

The sitemap issue in Bing is concerning and I wish I could provide more help there.

Before initiating anything major on the website, always look in to Bing analytics and see what BING webmaster tool tells about your current rankings... sometime due to several data centre issues what you see are not the universal results....
