If one were to write something like this, "I cannot over-empasisize the importance of branding, branding, branding." on a marketing page that talked about all the types of Internet marketing, would Google consider it keyword stuffing?

I am assuming that you are using "branding" as a keyword.  Therefore, you will have to repeat it multiple times in your copy.

I would suggest writing the sentence with just one word and use the rest of your copy to highlight the importance of it. Having the keyword across your make will make it more relevant to your topic idea.

Rand has a great post regarding Keyword Targeting.

          Thanks for responding.

Yes, branding is a keyword, and obviously your suggestion is normally a good answer. In this case, I would like to repeat the word as I do when talking with clients and prospects about getting their company in front of as many targeted people as possible. I use it when talking about a positive affect of their company name showing in both paid and organic listings. I also talk about being sure they have their company name visible in their email "From" and in their "Signiture," and offer several other marketing examples. During my ongoing narrative with my clients and prospects, I often remind them the importance of good branding, by simply saying, branding, branding, branding.

That said, I am a little reluctant to put it on a page and find that Google doesn't like it. Hoping to get that answer here.

I don't think it will make much of a difference if you say branding branding branding, ultimately what you can do is try it, then wait till the page gets ranked, remove two of the brandings, see what happens, then act accordingly. If it sounds natural, like a pep talk, then you won't have any issues.

I agree with iPositions on this one, I don't think you'll be penalized for keyword stuffing in this case. A page about branding will obviously contain the word "branding" more than three times, and it's not a long-tail keyword. If you were to repeat something like "Branding Agency in Salt Lake City Utah" three times, you may have something to be concerned about.

Remember you're writing for your audience, and the repetitive use of "branding" in this case is a creative mechanism to portray a sense of importance, like the often used "Location. Location. Location." Keep writing for human readers and not Google's Robots and I think you'll be fine.

              Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. It is in step with what I was planning. Wanted another opinion or two, to make sure I was on the right track with this.

Andy, Thanks for the confirmation. I will, indeed, keep writing for human readers, but with wide-open eyes on how Google interprets what we write.

                  Have a great day!

                  John
